Please note that the primary shipping line operating between Melbourne – Tasmania currently has a ship in Dry-Dock for maintenance, which has halved the sea freight capacity inbound to Tasmania.
As we’re now restricted to a sailing that occurs every 2nd day instead of daily, freight backlogs and delivery delays are occurring that are beyond the direct control of Allied Express.
These restrictions and delays are impacting all carriers. We’re continuing to explore all other options to get freight across to Tasmania, but the backlog is significant, and could take up to 3-4 weeks to clear once the full capacity is restored in early February.

Further updates will be provided on our website as any new information comes to hand.

More than one in two women across Australia who seek a bed in a crisis shelter are turned away every night, mostly due to a lack of space. And these are just the ones who find out they can ask for a safe place to go.

Women’s Community Shelters work with local communities’ infrastructure to establish new shelters, which provide short term emergency accommodation & tools to get them back up on their feet. To do so they need the support of businesses all across Australia.

Temple & Webster are a valued client at Allied Express, they are a part of our family. When discussing the logistical fulfilment for this special delivery, there was no hesitation that we wanted to offer our services.

The only way women and their families will receive the support they need, is through business collaboration and individuals that take the time to drive these initiatives.
