Please note that the primary shipping line operating between Melbourne – Tasmania currently has a ship in Dry-Dock for maintenance, which has halved the sea freight capacity inbound to Tasmania.
As we’re now restricted to a sailing that occurs every 2nd day instead of daily, freight backlogs and delivery delays are occurring that are beyond the direct control of Allied Express.
These restrictions and delays are impacting all carriers. We’re continuing to explore all other options to get freight across to Tasmania, but the backlog is significant, and could take up to 3-4 weeks to clear once the full capacity is restored in early February.

Further updates will be provided on our website as any new information comes to hand.

Across the October long weekend the NSW Depot moved into its new home 3 Murray Jones Drive, Bankstown Aerodome NSW 2200.

The team on ground have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Depot is completely operational and in working order to service our customers and businesses as of Tuesday 4th October.

The 20,000 square foot facility will see line-hauls traveling through the centre of the facility, providing operational efficiencies as well as built in dedicated areas to manage 3PL/cross dock operations.

“The infrastructure Allied Express has built is impressive. Expanding our footprint supports the growth initiatives for the future with an Australian first automated sortation system specifically designed for big and bulky products. By expanding our services, Allied Express and our customers can grow together into new and emerging markets.” Says Allan Wawi General Manager AOE.

“I am proud to oversee the transition into our new facilities with the broader team. I have been a part of the Allied Express family for a year and plan on being part of our expansion program for many more,” says Marlko Ilijevski, NSW Depot Manager.

For the short term the Head Office will remain at Chullora, until the final transition of all business units operating out of the new depot.
